The Nevada Assembly has 42 members. The Senate has 21. The Nevada Legislature meets every other year for a 120-day session. Over the past 20 years, or 10 legislative sessions, the Assembly and the Senate have marked several milestones of statewide and national significance.
In 2019, Nevada became the nation’s first female-majority legislature, a distinction the state carries into the 2021 Legislative Session.
