Reno – After an open and transparent public appointment process, Washoe County Commissioners have appointed Greg Smith to represent Nevada State Assembly District 30, previously occupied by Mike Sprinkle who resigned Thursday, March 14, 2019.
Mr. Smith is one of some 16 applicants for the position and is the husband of deceased Nevada Democrat Debbie Smith. Debbie Smith was a well known and much admired lawmaker who represented District 30 for six sessions and served one in the Nevada State Senate representing District 13.
